Hello, my name is Chris Aykroid

and I am a graphic designer.

I have been passionate about graphics...since collecting stickers as a kid. I think it's always fascinating how form, shape and color come together to make a stunning, (or even not so much), visual image.

I have been creating logos, web and print graphics, displays and interfaces for the Point of Purchase, Sign, Print and Web business' for many different customers for over... well, lets just say that it's a little while.

Here's one for you,

a digital menu system using Adobe Animate®

(with some help from Illustrator and Photoshop)

Jimmy's Grotto, a Waukesha institution, had a limited space and a pretty big menu, and well, Here is a big solution!

This board not only shows the listings with updatable item prices, it also lets the restaurant customer know how the main products look by showing photos that change with every menu topic. If a picture is worth a thousand words, this'll be a hundred thousand!

The "Jimmy" board also showcases the brand while highlighting a specific product from each menu face shown with snappy, animated graphics.

It gets better! Since it's Adobe Animate®, we were able to program the board to work a device to control the action dynamically so the customer can pause and skip over areas of the menu by an input from a button on the counter or in a floor mat!
